Welcome to 7K Studios! With end-to-end production support nestled in historic Ranchos de Taos, we offer our clientele more than just a studio experience. With multiple studios, offices, edit bays and locations, 7K offers a fully immersive experience, unique only to Taos.
Our Spaces
From a converted gymnasium to a historic nunnery with exposed vigas, our spaces carry the weight of Taos history while meeting the demands of modern production. Two dedicated studios, production offices, and a co-working space give your project room to breathe at every stage.
What we’re up to…
Our goal is to not to just bring movies to Taos. We want to introduce Taos to all of the benefits and gains that film has brought to the rest of the state. We want to invigorate our community by providing work readiness programs, teaching real skills for future employment. We will partner with existing organizations aimed at supporting our youth, our Indigenous community, and the arts. We will offer employment opportunities for locals with projects shot at our studio and also shot in the wider community. We will work to market Taos as a viable option for long term, sustainable production partnerships. There are endless economic opportunities for growth when film comes to town, from renting props and wardrobe, to providing hair and makeup, setting up private and public locations rentals, and so much more.

We're located in Ranchos de Taos, just south of the Taos plaza and north of the iconic San Francisco de Asís Church. Tucked into the high desert at 7,000 feet, our studio sits in one of New Mexico's most storied creative communities, a place that has inspired artists, photographers, and filmmakers for generations. Easy to reach, hard to forget.
