Welcome to 7K! With end-to-end production support nestled in historic Ranchos de Taos, we offer our clientele more than just a studio experience. With multiple studios, offices, edit bays and an on-site hotel, 7K offers a fully immersive experience, unique only to Taos.
7K Studios is a purpose-built studio that will attract productions, generate jobs, and drive economic growth, all while partnering with existing entities within Taos to further bolster our community. This studio is more than just a production space—it is a sustainable economic driver.

Our 5,500 sqft sound stage boasts 25” thick New Mexico Adobe walls, original vigas and latillas, and a beautiful proscenium stage.

The original classrooms will be our photography / videography studios. Perfect for daily or hourly rental, with motion capture markers, a cyc, green screen capabilities and beautiful New Mexican accents.

Featuring classic New Mexico interior design elements with bancos and nichos, this stage is a perfect setting for commercial, fashion, product, and personal photography projects.

Unique to this property is lodging nestled in between our stages, making shooting here a unique and immersive experience. A communal kitchen, coffee bar, and lounge area will make it truly feel feel like a home of creative possibilities.

We’ll have dedicated prep and post production suites, offering edit bays, sound recording, and work spaces - all looped in with the highest speed internet in the area to talk to production houses around the world.
Our goal is to not to just bring movies to Taos. We want to introduce Taos to all of the benefits and gains that film has brought to the rest of the state. We want to invigorate our community by providing work readiness programs, teaching real skills for future employment. We will partner with existing organizations aimed at supporting our youth, our Indigenous community, and the arts. We will offer employment opportunities for locals with projects shot at our studio and also shot in the wider community. We will work to market Taos as a viable option for long term, sustainable production partnerships. There are endless economic opportunities for growth when film comes to town, from renting props and wardrobe, to providing hair and makeup, setting up private and public locations rentals, and so much more.
